Adunni Garber

👏🤩 Announcing our newest volunteer of the month for January, Adunni! Congratulations and thank you for changing young lives one book at a time. Here is what she has to say about her experience:

“My favourite part of volunteering with minibiblioPLUS is that I get to share my love of reading with the kids. The support from the team at the library is amazing, it makes volunteering really easy. I know the daycare is really glad to have us come in to read once a week. The children’s enthusiasm makes my day and never fails to put a smile on my face. Their interest in the stories and their participation are really heartwarming.”

This heartwarming story reminds us of the importance of connection—coming together to rediscover the gift of time shared together. We invite families to embrace our Go Screen-Free challenge for Family Literacy Day on January 27, 2025! Click on the photo to access our free activity plan. Let’s take the opportunity to reconnect with one another whether through shared meals or storytime. 🫂🫶

After 25 years with the UN advocating for women’s and girls’ education, I found minibiblioPLUS and began storytelling at the most amazing daycare in Snowdon. Volunteer of the month- November 2024

Anita Gourab

👏🤩 Announcing our newest volunteer of the month for November, Anita! Congratulations and thank you for volunteering in our library. Here is what she has to say about her experience:

Volunteering with minibiblioPLUS has been an incredibly rewarding experience. While my role is behind the scenes in the library, I enjoy knowing that the work I do contributes to children having access to stories that can inspire and educate them. Over time, I’ve realized just how important it is to nurture a love of reading at an early age. While today’s world is so centered on screens, minibiblioPLUS reminds children of the beauty and joy of physical books. Being part of this program has shown me how important small contributions can be in supporting a larger mission. I’m proud to be part of an organization that is dedicated to fostering literacy and making a positive impact in the community.
