We are delighted to announce our volunteer of the month for July 2021: Maryam Malki! Here’s a message from her: “What a joy it is to volunteer with such a wonderful and welcoming organization as ! In addition to experiencing extraordinary adventures and being transported back to childhood through each story, hosting story-time allows me to promote and share the passion and taste for reading and learning with a very young audience, a mission that is very dear to my heart. I believe that reading is an essential pillar of children’s development and growth, and I am convinced that the amazing work done by the incredible team and committed and enthusiastic volunteers of will contribute immensely to raising literacy levels in our community!”

We had so much fun facilitating the Early Literacy Workshop for the parents from CCS Montreal at Girouard Park in NDG. Thank you so much to all families who participated. Books, stories, reading, and doughnuts – what better way to spend a beautiful summer morning!

Here’s a message from him: “ was a great discovery that has allowed me to understand the meaning and importance of volunteering during my social integration process in Québec. In addition, animating story-time activities has allowed me to engage my family and build team skills. It was a great experience to discover the options of social participation that we have around us. It has truly been wonderful! I am grateful for your mission and for promoting early literacy!”
